Chinese Fried Rice Recipe


Chinese Fried Rice is a classic and flavorful stir-fried rice dish made with cooked rice, vegetables, soy sauce, and optional meat or eggs. It's quick, delicious, and a perfect one-pot meal.

Ingredients


- 2 cups cooked Rice (preferably day-old)
- 1/2 cup chopped Carrots
- 1/2 cup Green Peas
- 1/4 cup chopped Spring Onions
- 2 Eggs (beaten, optional)
- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Oil (for cooking)
- 1 tsp chopped Garlic
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Optional: Cooked Chicken, Shrimp, or Tofu

How to Make Chinese Fried Rice


  1. Heat oil in a wok or large pan. Add garlic and sauté for a few seconds until fragrant.
  2. Add carrots and peas. Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until slightly tender.
  3. Push vegetables to the side. Pour in the beaten eggs and scramble until cooked (skip if not using eggs).
  4. Add cooked rice, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir everything together on high heat for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Mix in spring onions and cooked meat or tofu if using. Toss well.
  6. Serve hot with extra soy sauce or chili sauce on the side.
